Power SEO Ranker Review
Hi, I’d like to welcome you to my review of a new SEO product that has been generating a lot of buzz lately. I had a lot of requests to write a review for Power SEO Ranker and so decided to write one for you guys.
Power SEO Ranker is a new white hat seo software that promises to rank your sites in Google. Since the recent Google panda and penguin updates there are a lot of folk who are rethinking the black hat strategies that they were using and so its not surprising that a whitehat seo tool is being launched.
Link building as we all know is a exercise that’s of utmost importance to anybody who is interesting in optimizing his website to rank well in the search engines and with Google cracking down on a lot of avenues like blog networks and home page back link networks its getting harder to get quality back links for your sites.
So what is Power SEO Ranker?
This software has been created by the father-son duo of Bryan and Matt Green and is being promoted by Ken McArthur. This is a windows based software and from what i see seems to be coded in .net. So all you mac users will be disappointed unless you have some kind of windows emulator installed.If you are a mac user then I recommend you grab copy of parallels
That being said I found the software to be extremely user friendly and easy to use. Once you start up the application the screen that you get to see is as shown in the screen shot below

Now though these guys call their software white hat, I would put this in gray hat territory in the least, as any automation has the potential for serious abuse, and let me tell you that this software has some serious fire power.
To summarize what power seo ranker can do for you is it will find websites for you where you can drop a link back to your money site.
The software like most in this category has a url scraper, which will essentially scrape Google to find you blogs, wikis, edu /gov sites and forums where you can post your links to.
Since you have an option to enter keywords that are used to scrape, you are likely to end up with websites from a niche relevant to your site. This option also lets you maximize your search, as google if you are aware will not show you more than a 1000 results per search, so this addition of keywords will essentially magnify your result set.
The second option to find places to drop your links to is by using what they called the “scraper”. What this option does is basically finds out all the back links of your competitors. The idea being that if you can get back links from the same places that your competition has, then you can theoretically get links from the same places and thus rank as high if not higher than your competitors
Link Analysis
The software also comes with a link analyser. What this does is to try and identify the platform that the link is from. SO for example some of the links that you have scraped might be forum links where as others may be blog links. So the software will identify the platform if it can and also let you know if there are additional requirements like filling out a captcha etc. This is not a new concept per-se and scrapebox and the free platform reader that sick submitter used to provide also did the same, but this being integrated into the software is a great time saver as you can eliminate some of the links based on a criteria.
For example you may not want to choose those sites that have a captcha in there, or there are case where some blogs that you may have scraped have comments closed and you dont want to waste your time trying to post to those. In such cases the link analyzer is of great use.
Next Step: Posting your links
Power SEO ranker lets you post in 2 modes, which they call the manual commenter and the auto commenter. The auto commenter is still in beta mode and i think it should be ready by the time they launch the full version. To start using the commenter, you need to fill out a “profile” where you enter the name, email and other information. Once that’s done the software will load each of the urls in its in built browser and then prefill the content based on the profile that you filled out. All you need to do is read the article and then post your comments based on it. This is recommended as well all know that prefilled canned comments just dont pass approval these days, unless its an auto approve blog, and even those have been spammed to death these days.
So to Auto Comment or not?
The auto commenter that they have planned, IMO is something that they’ve just added in to please some folk. Its just like using scrapebox with auto approve blogs which is not effective these days and most people that i know who are smart seo’s are only using it to blast their second tier sites, so if i were you id go with the manual commentor.
The final version will have the usual features like proxy support, captcha solving as well as RSS feeds. The scheduler is another great feature that will help you emulate human behaviour as well as run your campaigns on autopilot.
So is power seo ranker for me?
If you are an experienced SEO and already have used tools like xrumer and scrapebox then you probably wont find anything all that innovative in this software, but if you are an intermediate seo guy or even a rank newbie then this is a inexpensive tool that is both easy to use as well as an effective one.
